擦机尾程序与增压的关系

Q:

Why are all the actions in this procedure related to AIR system (PACK, RAM AIR, CAB FANS)? Will PACK OFF reduce the damage of structure?

 A:

Tail strikes can cause extensive structural damage (for ex: fuselage skin), which can jeopardize the flight and result in heavy maintenance actions. Therefore, the cabin must not be pressurized.

In the event of a tail strike at takeoff, the flight crew must avoid flying at an altitude that requires a pressurized cabin, and perform a diversion to a suitable airport for the damage assessment.

For the above reasons, it is required to apply the actions as per the FCOM/ABN/TAIL STRIKE ECAM alert.
